Intelix Component Video Baluns allow the transmission of a video signal to go a further distance than that of a normal video cable. We have included IR control on this model to save you time and money. Once connected together with a typical cat 5 cable the component video balun works exactly like a typical video cable but without signal loss. Baluns are designed to be used in applications were long cable runs are required or where space constrants prohibit the use of typical cables such as conduit. Baluns are also a good fit where you are required to use plenum rated cables. Plenum cat 5 cost much less than plenum component video cables.
